Fidaa and her beautiful kids Sila and Hamoud are raising money to survive the genocide in Gaza. Whether these funds go to food (prices are soaring), medicine, or safe passage for evacuation, every dollar will be supporting a real family in need.
Fidaa and her kids have been displaced over and over again. They just had to leave Khan Younis due to the evacuation order. Now, they are trying to settle in a new place, and Fidaa has been working tirelessly to make it as comfortable as possible. This family has witnessed atrocities and been dealt a lot of bad news. Sila became sick from smoke inhalation and gastrointestinal issues, and she is still recovering. Hamoud just celebrated his first birthday with a cake despite the fact that his whole first year of life has been spent in genocide.
Fidaa works hard to bring joy to her little ones. And really, to every one around her. One of her greatest pleasures in this life is to share kindness with other people. On her birthday, even though she doesn’t like meat very much, she bought two sheep to be slaughtered and the meat was shared with everyone in the camp. That is the type of person she is. Now it is our turn.
Fidaa is one of the most remarkable people I have ever met. She has a quick wit, loves listening to Fairuz, and her depths of compassion stun me every day. She has a background in psychology, her favorite snack is green almonds with salt, and her heart belongs to the sea. Gaza has always been her home. In the time I’ve known her, she has let me in to her family, and shown me great love and care.
Right now is a really critical time for this family. Fidaa has been superhuman, has had to be strong with no break, despite living through genocide and supporting her kids through sickness and trauma. On top of this, her Gofundme was deleted and her last Chuffed campaign was closed. Right now, she is struggling to believe in the kindness of humanity. Please, please, let’s help her family and give her some kind of relief, some kind of care… However we can!!!
The last campaign was closed at $40,000/$100,000, so we are setting the goal for $60,000. Every cent goes towards a future for this family. To look into the depths of darkness, to continue to live despite the pain, it is an unbelievable hardship. Your help makes it easier. Thank you for reading.
